Control Point Corporation (CPC), a growing engineering firm specializing in the design of complex electronic systems for defense applications is currently seeking an experienced Software Architecture Engineer.
LOCATION: Troy, MI
DESCRIPTION: We are currently recruiting engineers to work with our team developing complex vehicle and weapon system architectures that support navigation, C3I, target/threat detection, fire control, mobility, and diagnostics. Develop complex software architecture for safety and mission critical systems in accordance with CMMI maturity level 3 or higher processes. Synthesize complex concepts into simple ideas and patterns that non-technical decision makers can understand. Organize, direct, and collaborate with small teams. Interact daily with internal and external customers to solicit explicit and implicit requirements that impact software architectural decisions that will have implications for decades.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a BS, MS or PhD in Software Engineering; ability to analyze complex systems; knowledge of UML Modeling; working knowledge of some type of UML CAD tool (e.g. Rational Rose). Must have ability to visualize relationships between information sets with independent representations; discover and represent complex sequences of events using abstraction; verbally and graphically communicate complex relationships. Experience with embedded computing systems, diagnostic systems, and ground combat systems desirable. Exceptional communication skills and propensity to build relationships of trust. The successful candidate will have an outstanding history of individual responsibility in solving problems. Candidate must have the ability to secure a DoD secret security clearance.
