Quality Assurance Program

Control Point Corporation (CPC) uses quality assurance process to ensure our products and services meet all requirements and provide our customers with best-value solutions. Each task performed has a QA plan that is integrated into the overall project plan. CPC will infuse QA processes with specific project compliance requirements to develop an optimal plan. The QA plan leverages from CPC internal processes and customer processes.

Execution of a QA plan is the responsibility of an integrated management team. Each task will have a Program Manager (PM) assigned who is responsible for overall development and execution of the QA plan. The PM will ensure the task is clearly understood and can be managed. The PM will establish schedules, performance metrics, and audit/review processes. The PM will work with CPC functional managers to establish the right team for the job. The PM also oversees the risk management process and applies resources towards mitigating project risks where appropriate.

CPC’s engineering sections are all managed by senior engineering managers who have developed a staff of highly skilled engineering professionals who can quickly achieve results on Seaport projects. Functional managers periodically review products to ensure best practices are being followed.

A Project Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of QA processes for specific products or services.

Schedule Tracking and Program Metrics – CPC managers, drawing from previous experience and technical expertise, develop engineering plans and establish metrics to track progress.

Technical Team Reviews – Technical teams typically meet weekly to review schedules, review progress, and ensure communications between team members.

Management Reviews – Our senior management reviews status on all projects to ensure all commitments are being met and resources are properly allocated.

Risk and Opportunity Management Reviews – Risk and Opportunity Management Reviews are held weekly or semi-monthly to ensure proper visibility is provided to managers and all key stakeholders.

Product Reviews – Milestone product reviews are event driven and draw upon a larger group of internal domain experts to ensure quality and coordination of interfaces. Prior to such reviews, all products go through peer reviews and internal quality checks using quality checklists and evaluations from subject matter experts.

Risk and Opportunity Management

A Risk and Opportunity Management Plan is applied to each task. CPC uses proven processes and toolsets to perform risk evaluations, develop risk mitigation strategies, and review the risks and opportunities with key stakeholders.

Issue Tracking

CPC has established processes and toolsets to identify problems and track them through resolution.

Continuous Improvement Process

Feedback is solicited throughout each project and during formal reviews. CPC also attempts to conduct after action reviews with customers to assess overall performance and identify potential process improvements.
